Embroidery

In-House Production
Many of our competitors do not have their own equipment which leaves them dependent on others. Since we embroider everything in-house, we are able to control the quality and timelines of your work through the entire process; from digitizing to embroidery. Because of this, we are able to ensure you and your company with a high quality product in an efficient and timely manner.
There are two parts to creating an embroidered image: the development of a logo and the digitizing. When embroidering a logo, adjustments to the design might need to be made in order for the embroidery to come out clean and crisp. For our machines, an embroidery file needs to be created which is called digitizing. During this process, the logo or design is created using a special design program that creates files for our embroidery machines to read. iD Works is happy to work with other designers, agencies and design-oriented customers who wish to provide art and/or digitized embroidery files.
Designs, Logos
and
Art Files
Digitized embroidery files are created by importing an existing graphic or logo into a digitizing software program and then "tracing over" that design with stitch patterns. We accept printed images, digital art files (including low-resolution images taken from the web, but the highest resolution is best), and digitized embroidery files (.DST).
Digital Art File Requirements
- Acceptable exported file formats include .eps, .gif, .jpg, .png, .tiff, or .bmp at any resolution, but the higher the better.
- Native program files such as (.psd) in Adobe Photoshop and (.ai) in Adobe Illustrator.
- All fonts must be included with the exported file.
- Letterhead is acceptable
- We can also use black and white line art.
Digitized
Embroidery
Files
- iD Works only accepts TAJIMA
(.DST) digitized embroidery files.
Stitch Counts
All digitizing and embroidery prices will be based on the ACTUAL STITCH COUNT that can be estimated before digitization. iD Works will provide adjustments to the stitch count estimate after the file is digitized to reflect the actual stitch count. |
